Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the 32nd North America Chapter Meeting of the International Isotope Society will now be held as a virtual half day meeting on Friday October 30th 2020 from 8.45 am to 1 pm EDT. Access to registrants will be afforded via Zoom and the CrowdCompass Mobile App.

Despite moving to a virtual format, as in past years, the symposium will continue the focus on the synthesis, analysis, and application of isotopically labeled compounds. Research presentations on the study or use of compounds labeled with radioactive isotopes and stable isotopes will be of  great interest to all who attend. Potential presentation topics include the use of isotopes in research, drug discovery and development, and applications of the isotopes in biomarker and in vivo imaging.

The virtual scientific session, consisting of both invited speakers and submitted presentations, will be held, on the morning of Friday October 30th and I am delighted to announce that Dr. John Sorensen from the University of Manitoba will be our Plenary speaker.

In moving to a virtual meeting format, registration will be complimentary which will allow access to the meeting content and nearer the meeting time, an invitation to download the CrowdCompass Mobile App will be sent to all registrants.

The deadline for the abstract submission  is Thursday October 15th, 2020.

While we regret having to cancel the traditional face to face meeting that has been enjoyed by many over the years, we at least hope that by offering a half day virtual symposium, it will be an opportunity to ‘virtually’ connect with friends and colleagues and listen to great isotope science.

Organizer: Matt Hrapchak, Boehringer-Ingelheim.
